Just wondering...

Besides, is anyone else like this? I have this tendency to think that everything that is not released theatrically to be sub-par and a P.O.S.

I believe it did, as I have 3 copies of this and each of them have a label on the front that says "contains footage too shocking for theatrical version"

Yeah, it was a theatrical release, but a minor one at that. Probably one of those movies that played in major cities and at a few drive-ins, but I don't believe it ever received a wide release.
