Dr. Channard is my alltime favorite Cenobite. I loved him BUT his death was weird for me, i dodnt realize why.
So his little hand things get stuck in the ground and his head gets ripped off? Earlier he was shooting those things out to kill the old-school cenobites, why did he stay connected then?

His power came direct form Leviathan, which he was connected too. At this moment Tiffany ahd solved the Box, causing Leviathan to enter a form of 'hibernation' which we see, which also explains why the tentacle was 'pulling' away as it were. Bascially Channard died in the crossover fire of losing the Leviathan-based power (and one assumes full control over his limbs) at the same time he gets himself stuck in the floor....

remember, Channard wasn't yet complete as a cenobite, as the engineer was still making augmentations on his brain, and so, he wouldn't have full control over his powers yet, hence, why he didn't shoot the tentacles, only lunged and got stuck.

I don't think there's any evidence of this during the film. And he did shoot the tentacles earlier in the film with ease. The only difference in the endign scenario is that Leviathan is being effected by the solving of the Box, and that this is clearly effecting Channard.

Or, another theory…
Channard floated above the Labyrinth, carried aloft by the penis-tentacle. The tentacles were tipped with metal blades, and when he shot and missed, they embedded in the top deck path of the Labyrinth — grounded, as it were.
As we remember, Leviathan was surrounded by lightning. When Channard grounded himself and, by extension, the penis-tentacle, the lightning would be zapping it.
"Ow! I'm being electrocuted ten ways from Sunday! I'm gonna pull away and unground myself —" What's the weakest link in the chain here? Yeah, Channard's Atlas bone.

The Channard Cenobite's death is a complete accident. Leviathan wants Tiffany to be made into a Cenobite, but she solves the Configuration and consequently closes Leviathan, freeing all the trapped souls and also making Leviathan lose his control of Channard. The good doctor is getting pulled back to his God while stuck in the floor, resulting in insta-beheading.

I thought leviathan killed him, it was going crazy with lightening whilest tiffany solved the puzzle which i assumed was leviathan trying to get channard to stop her from solving it but he was too busy making out with that girl so he failed angering leviathan which then released its control over channard, taking back the tentacle and half of his head.
Also, it's very annoying that this site doesn't give any separation whatsoever from signatures.
