Is this what I saw?

During the split second montage of imagery shown inside Channard's memories by Leviathan there's a shot of a young boy with a scalpel that has eviscerated something which I can't quite make out;was Channard dissecting an animal?
If so that only adds to the repulsive tone of this flick.

It wasn't an animal, it was a woman. I didn't realize it myself until someone on youtube pointed it out. You can see her hair and(I believe) a nurse hat.

Thanks, I assumed that perhaps it was animal, that Leviathan "revealed" just one of many of Channard's twisted past.

He certainly didn't start off small. I'm glad Hellbound avoided the cliche of the sociopath torturing and mutilating animals as a child.

Was Leviathan the BDSM version of the Judeo Christian Satan? Because several times throughout there was dialogue declaring him the "Master of hunger, flesh, and desire." Plus wasn't Clare Higgins exotic as Julia in this, towards the end where she struggles with the wind vacuum I wish her robe had ripped off first to show her nude form lol.

That's basically the gist of it. Lately though, in the Clive Barker written/approved comics, the line has been blurred. The early movies did not feature cenobites who seemed to care about punishing the sins of humanity, they were carnal explorers, whereas it has been said several times in the comics that the purpose of Hell is to punish people for their sins to maintain order in the universe. One of the writers even referred to the cenobites as "cosmic cops". I miss the days when the people in charge of Hellraiser actually cared about the sexual/sensual side of things.

I came across a draft of Hellbound:Hellraiser II;and to my revulsion the script implies Channard indulging in animal torture, scroll to page 91 and read from there.

He indulges in plenty of human torture/murder, so it's not really surprising.
