Wonderful movie

I search for these little known, feel-good movies, mainly from the 70's or 80's. This one is really great. David Keith is an adequate Elvis, he does it without that exaggerated Elvis that we're used to. And Tuesday Weld is a top-class actress to have in this movie, she never disappoints. Of course the movie is sappy, it could never happen, and Elvis probably wasn't that nice (or tough), but what the heck, it all works. Definitely worth Netflixing.

I think your opinion is even too conservative :) 'Heartbreak Hotel' is really a wonderful, cute, uplifting gem of a film with great performances to boot. Those who see it fit to bash Chris Columbus need not look further than this movie. Fingers crossed for a Blu-ray. Heck, I've never even found the DVD.

Agree. Fun movie. Kinda reminded me of Detroit Rock City, High School Rock n Roll, and other similar flicks.
