Gorillas in the Wild

Has anyone seen them in the wild, maybe in Rwanda?
I did last summer when I made gorilla- trekking in that country.
The landscape and the forest is exacly like in the film. It is just beautiful.
And meeting wild mountain gorillas is just an amazing experience. One can came so close as the actors did in the film, and they mostly ignore the visitors. Only one time, the ranger which guided our group to the gorillas came to close to a young. Then the silverback charged and hit my head. But it wasn`t really dangerous, and the attack was very short and not with any violent intention.
It was my greatest wildlife experience I ever had.

I plan on succeeding in primatology and following in dian fossey's footsteps, I was just curious about the trek you went on, could you give any information about it?

It was a two- weeks round trip organised by a German travel agency which is specialised in wuldlife watching around the world.
On this trip, there was a two- days gorilla- trekking in the Volcanoes National Park in Rwanda. At night, we stayed in a resort nearby, but early in the morning, we climbed up the mountains to see the gorillas. This lasted about three to four hours each day.
It is not the cheapest way to do a trip, but the money is well spent for it!
