and her screaming baby is snatched from her dead arms by those cruel cheering oafish natives was one of the saddest scenes I have ever seen on film. To this day I still have trouble watching it.

I know, it's completely heartbreaking. Watching it now and I'm bawling like a baby.

Completely agree. This movie is hard to watch. And after all of that, the baby didn't even live a year. Heartbreaking.
