just seen it on 'true movies' channel in the uk

most low bugjet films dont really do much for me but i found this so moviing and sad

so much for "USA land of the free"......... "only if your rich!!"

(im not knocking the US i have alot of mates over there)

here in the uk everyone that dont work gos on a waitting list then they get giveing a apartment in 6months to a year and that place stays free untill you find a job and even then its low rent and if you have a kid you dont go onto a list at all they give you somewhere right away

i just cant belive the way the homeless have it over there, no help from anyone and

the endding of that film was so sad, im a 24yr old guy but to be honist i cryed my butt off

better then alot of the crap hollywood comes out with nowdays i give it 10 out of 10

The hardest working people in the world are the poorest, like those working in sweat shops for $2 a day. Hard work has very little to do with wealth.

Bauer vs. Bourne, that is the question.

Regardless of what channel it was on, True Stories or whatever, the movie was 100% fiction and not even ultra realistic fiction.

I saw this in the UK also and that is right. Here a homeless woman with a child would be given emergency housing either in a hostel or a B & B and would be put on a waiting list for housing.

Unfortunately, they pretty much throw you out with the rest of the garbage, if you run into hard times. Here in the U.S, if you don't have your act together, or even run into hard times beyond your control...you're pretty much screwed and it takes a looooonng time to climb your way back up.

I saw it on the UK channel True Entertainment yesterday. I was shocked that some people living in the more affluent USA can have even more problematic poverty there than here in Britain.
