So touching...Fondly remembered

I recall seeing this wonderful film when I had recently come out and was a young male hungry for all things romantically gay. And, even though it was the late 80's, gay movies (i.e. with main characters) still hadn't really 'broken out' on the scene as they are today. Even this film was shown in an 'artsy' theatre, not exactly mainstream.

But, I loved it - It featured Britain (where it has always been my dream to live), cute boys, and a 'kicking' soundtrack.

Upon reading this board, I just realised Emile Charles was related to Craig Charles (whom I saw previously on Red Dwarf and I couldn't figure out why he looked so much like Emile!). Now I know they are brothers and that Charles is on one of my favourite shows, Coronation Street. And, it was written by Frank Clarke (Margi's brother so the Coronation Street connection is enhanced as she plays Jackie Dobbs on Corrie!) Small world...

It's great to re-live touching memories and feelings stirred by this film. And a special thanks to boiledshoes Youtube posting of that wonderful song 'Frut Machine'!
