When did you first see 'The Frog Prince'?

Just curious how others were introduced to this film. It never was shown in the theaters. I first saw it when I recieved it as a Chrismas present the year it was first released in 1988. I loved Aileen Quinn in "Annie" and I enjoy fairy tales so my friend thought I'd enjoy this. Well, I loved it and have worn out three copies of the film. And John Paragon stole my heart the first time I looked into the eyes of a "too tall frog".

My grandparents got it for me and my sister when we were around five. Everytime we'd go over to their house we'd ask to watch it. And I think I cried everytime it looks like he's going to die. It was probably the first movie I watched, ever.

I watched it on tv last year and loved it. Hope it comes out on dvd soon.

I saw it on disney channel back in the early 90's.

pretty good movie.
my mom took one look at zora and said "hey that's annie!" and instantly knew it was her.

Disney should do an ANIMATED version of this story. They'd do a good job. they always do.

my mother recorded it off the disney channel in the early 90s too. whats really weird is i vaguely remember this movie but i remember the first time i saw helen hunt on mad about you (and this was years after i saw the frog prince) i instantly recognized her as the evil sister. and what even reminded me about this movie at all was i saw the movie "pay it forward" with helen hunt last night and i thought, hey, let me look up that frog prince movie on IMDB, see if anyone else remembers it or if its just one of my childhood memories doomed to only be remembered by me.

i really only remember probably like 2 or 3 parts of this movie..
the main character in her bedroom swinging on a hanging chair type thing?
the main character going outside and seeing the frog prince for the first time?
the main character getting yelled at by her evil sister..

haha.

I was about 8 or 9 when I first saw this movie. I think my kids would love it and would love to get my hands on a copy of it.

I'm not kidding when I say yesterday. I'm a huge Annie fan and wanted to see this movie for awhile and in fact even bid on it on ebay. Yesterday I was on youtube and searched for The Frog Prince, hoping to not find it but I did and watched it. I really liked it and was surprise that was Aileen Quinn (she looked different). I know for a fact if I would have seen this when I was a kid I would have loved it.

Oh man, you get to work with Bessie! I'd give my left two lugnuts for somethin' like that!

Me too! I thought John Paragon (The Frog Prince) was really funny (I'd seen him in Pee-Wee's Playhouse and Seinfeld), so I checked out this board to see what people had to say. Someone posted a link to YouTube where they'd recorded the entire movie. It was an adorable movie. Nothing really special, but it was still a great movie. Plus, John looked really handsome as the prince!

I remember it being my favorite movie as a kid. I've literally had it on VHS, taped off TV, since the 80's. I have a big label on it saying "Don't EVER record over this tape!". HAHA! :D

I actually bought it on DVD from eBay a couple years ago, which turned out to be a ridiculous bootleg. Someone just put the VHS version on a DVD. They didn't even attempt to do a good job. But hey, it's easier than watching it on VHS, I guess!

I'm 24 years old right now and I still love this movie and all the songs. I actually just downloaded the songs from the internet yesterday. I've spent years trying to find them online. I found it on my own, but if I had come to this website a little sooner, I could have found the website earlier! :D
