Would 'Pretty in Pink' fans enjoy this?

Just asking.

in my opinion "Pretty In Pink" fans would NOT enjoy this movie. there is nothing enjoyable about it. To me the movie makes no sense. there is a plot in there somewhere, but it meanders and goes nowhere. This movie is horrible. If you can avoid this movie please do so. I only watched it because I love Pretty In Pink and thought with the pairing of Ringwald and McCarthy it might be ok. I wasn't expecting another PIP, but I was expecting something watchable.

I remember seeing this when it came out and was bored stiff. Bland characters and story. Im watching it now on Encore drama, still a yawnfest. It still holds up.

No, not really. You'd have to be just super fans of the actors. To me, "Fresh Horses" is a cheap, darker rip-off of "PIP". It's basically the same movie (though much crapier), but without Duckie. Molly and Andrew have the same parts, of course. Then, the Jean character is Annie Potts' character from "PIP" and Ben Stiller has James Spader's spot.

FH has a lot better ending than the happy clappy schmaltz we got at the end of pretty in pink.
