Maybe I watched a different movie then the rest of yall, but I gotta ask Why is this movie so popular? Its a really bad slasher flick w/ really annoying "victims" and even a more annoying killer. The effects are cheesey. The script is just one cliche after another. I've heard people trash movies like The Devil's Rejects and High Tension yet speak in high regards of Evil Laugh. And the list price for this movie is outrageous. $55 for this piece of crap? For that price you'd think you'd be getting Meryl Streep/Jack Nicholson quality acting instead of the acting "talents" of the BROTHER of Chochi (yep, they couldn't get Scott Baio so someone thought, "Hmm, I betcha that Steven Baio can help bring in the $$$.").

Overrated, big budget Hollywood movies (i.e. any Michael Bay extravaganzia)suck anyway. But I get it.

You're obviouslynot a slasher fan, and $55?! What are you talking about? You can get it for brand new on Amazon for $4.73

I don't think you watched a different movie. I think you straight up live in another universe.

I would not call Evil Laugh popular. It has a grand total of 336 ratings on IMDB. It isn't even a minor classic, an argument that could be made for some other lesser known slashers. It's just a cheap, cheesy film that may entertain genre enthusiasts. But I've never really seen or heard anyone heaping praise on the film. And it doesn't exactly come up a lot when people are making "best of" lists.

It's not popular in the slasher genre; I only recently heard of it. It's run-of-the-mill and dull; more funny than scary. I recommend it only for die-hard 80's slasher aficionados.
