Ironically jones was rejected in this role because quaid was seen as more leading man.Ironic since jones career has been overall better he has less flops thne quaid. quaid has not had hit isnce gijoe jones has been popping out more hits. jones gets accalime to 4 noms 1 oscar. more people know jones then dennis

Actually, Tommy Lee Jones played football at Harvard, where he was an all-league offensive guard in the 1960s (and in an unrelated note, roomed with one Al Gore on campus). Jones was part of the undefeated Crimson squad of 1968.
