Running time?

Is there a different running time for the Australian release versus the US NTSC video? The box I saw had a still from a scene that wasn't in the video, and the film seemed to have some big holes in it -- as if some schmuck had dropped long sections of it on the cutting room floor to make it run an hour and a half for the US market.
