Was looking at TV listings and had seen Ernest Saves Christmas playing. I haven't seen it in years and I'm a huge Ernest fan. Me and my brother got on the couch and were laughing the whole way threw, then half way through the film infomercials started popping up and took up the whole movie.

I'm watching it right now on Hallmark TV, and, like you, I haven't seen it years as well. I remember seeing this and a whole bunch of other Ernest movies in my childhood, but I always felt that Ernest Saves Christmas is the best overall Ernest movie, so it was a treat to see it again in, oh, I dunno...15 years?
I'm not sure whether the remark about infomercials is sarcastic or not, but thank God I'm not seeing these. At least I got to see this movie again after so long.
No no sarcasm as far as the infomercials. That actually happened. Actually it's on Hallmark right now, and it flipped to the infomercial at the same exact time as last time. It's right after Ernest comes in dressed up as the old lady. It's the juicer commercial.
Anyways, glad you got to enjoy the film. Hopefully the next time they run it I can atlas have my fulfilled joyful memories back.
