OMG, it's been SO long since I've seen an Earnest movie! I grew up watching these things as a little bitty kid! I'm 16 years old right now, almost 17. All I know is the memory I've had with these movies, and I remember that I LOVED these movies when I was a kid, and that I watched them a LOT. Me and my bro would have our parents rent some of them from a VHS rental store - because of course at the time there weren't any DVDs.
Earnest Saves Christmas - I remember a lot of this one, and I guess it would probably be my top pick...
Earnest Scared Stupid - I remember that I use to have a good scare with this one as a kid, hehe. I guess It'd be my second pick.
Earnest Goes to Jail - I remember a little of this one, but I think one of the only things I liked about this one, as I can remember, was the "I came, I saw, I got blown up!" line at the end. Of course, I probably won't think it's funny now that I'm grown up...
Earnest Goes to Camp - I remember a little of this one, but I don't remember anything too special about it, but I still liked it of course.
Slam Dunk - I remember this one as well. My Uncle is a sports fanatic and he had this on VHS, I think he still has it! Me and my bro would sometimes borrow it from him when we were kids.
Earnest Goes to School - I swear that I've seen this one, but I like remember nothing about it!
I don't believe I ever saw these, however...

It would be SO weird to get to watch one of these movies since I haven't seen one in SO long! It's almost scary! I've already had experiences with watching a movies that I haven't seen in so long, like Popeye, Tremors, Jurassic Park, Titanic, Joe Dirt, Toy Story, and more. All movies I grew up watching, and it feels so weird watching them now...

if you ask me a good movie will always be a good movie. that being said here is my rankings for ernest p worrell movies.
1. saves christmas.(although i'm ticked off i have not seen it yet this year).
2 scared stupid(just because i love halloween so much)
3. goes to camp
4 goes to jail
5. couldnt bring myself to finish any of the rest so they are tyed for last place
the closest one i came to finish watching was goes to school and it was pretty bad in my opinion

Here's my listing:
1. Ernest Saves Christmas (my favorite Christmas Movie, and probably the best of the series)
2. Ernest Goes To Camp - Reasons being that it does bring you back to being a kid, had pretty good production for what it was, and the Native American themes made it a little more serious than most really remember or think about. All in all it takes me back to my childhood and had a good battle scene at the end.
3. Ernest Goes To Jail - Reasons being? Varney does excellent acting in his dual role, Ernest has a believable love interest, and it keeps with series continuity (the two guards, Rimshot, and we finally see Ernest's place in wacky glory).
Scared Stupid I didn't care for, but I must admit it's of better quality than the direct to video films and is enjoyable every once in awhile.
I haven't seen all of Ernest Goes To Africa or Goes To School yet I have Africa on DVD and Goes To School on VHS. In The Army was too Desert Storm for my tastes and again was out of Ernest continuity.
Ernest Rides Again I did like though I think it had more of a Police Academy feel to it.
Slam Dunk Ernest wasn't bad, but I just can't see a Ghetto Ernest.
I think the top 3 are the cream of the crop, the classics if you will, the best of the best of most film buff's worst of the worst franchises.

But I admit, I haven't seen Saves Christmas in years...and with all the praise it's getting, I might like it more than Goes to Camp if I watched it today...but not more than Scared Stupid.
