Who saw this in theaters as a kid?

I did when i was 7 about 3 times and thought it was fantastic

You killed Captain Clown, YOU KILLED CAPTAIN CLOWN-The Joker on Batman TAS

reply

I did.
My dad will say "Them's pythons!" every once in a while.
I bought the Ernest 3-fer for cheap, but I don't ever see this one. I'm fairly certain this one was more successful than the Halloween or Jail ones.

I think your right about the Scared Stupid one but definitely not Jail that's probably why they have Jail on Blu-Ray and not Christmas although I believe it should be.

Well the Ernest films currently on Blu Ray anyway are released I believe by Echo Bridge. But I think Disney is keeping a hold on "Christmas" but have yet to release it on video. Why they wouldn't lease the rights out with the other three I really don't understand why. But if you see the Ernest Blu in the bargin bin (where I got my "Goes to Camp" along with quite a few other double feature early mid 80s Disney/Touchstone features, like "Baby: The Lost Legend".

For whatever reason it seems like Disney isn't releasing a new version of "Christmas" but isn't selling out the rights either. I have noticed of late a newer looking "Saves Christmas" dvd in our local WalMart bargin bin. Looks different than the one I picked up years ago, although I still wager its not a repressing but just a repackaging of the old disc.
