Great movie....

I enjoyed this movie and although some may say that Elvis was "destroyed" in this film i dont think he was. I still enjoy his work no matter what. It took alot out of Priscilla to write this story and she got into alot of personal details over it. And some will say its for the money and cashing in on his death. But in the end she wasnt lacking in any money when this book was published she had her own career shaping up. I really like her and i enjoyed this book and movie. It showed Elvis' vulnerable side and his protective side more in the book of course and it showed his downfalls as well. And showed her ups and downs as well. But we as fans to be let into his world by reading actual facts of him or going to his house. Which i had the priveledge of makes me so grateful for what she has done to the later on fans as myself who werent around when he was around to appreciate him alive.

I agree, this was and is still a very good movie. I think I caught it on cable serveral months ago. I also have an old VHS copy of it too. I won't get rid of that until they release it on DVD. I've read the book a few times too. Since it was written by someone who knew Elvis, I beleive pretty much every word of it. I don't beleive one bit that she was out to trash him. Drugs can make anyone moody and unpredictable. I'm an Elvis fan but not absolutely crazy over him. I have been to Graceland though and it was GREAT. I do want to go again.
