Dale Midkiff

Priscilla picked this guy. His performance had to be close to reality. Obviously Dale Midkiff doesn't have the charisma Elvis had, but he was able to grasp on to Elvis' up and down emotions and certain qualities that Priscilla wanted to express on film. Kurt Russell's iconic performance in the 1979 "Elvis" was more charismatic but the film was too loosely based on actual events.
