Why are they standing for the Star Spangled Banner at the beginning of Game7? It was NOT the national anthem until 1930.
shareYou are correct, but baseball has been using it long before that. The first time it was played during the World Series was the year before in 1918. The first time it was played on Opening Day was in 1897.
