Pop song in Disco scene!

Okay everyone, I know a lot of fans on here have been searching for a long time for the fast pop song during the disco scene.

I have FINALLY discovered it!

It's included on the official soundtrack CD limited to only a thousand or so units that I just got this week. Having seen it on eBay for a bargain, I figured I'd buy it, even if the disco song wasn't included, as it is a nice, cool and classy jazz score.

However, only about thirty seconds of the song is included on the CD Album.

Its a slightly different version as well.

Anyway, the song is called "C'est Vrai" and is indeed a riff on "I Should Be So Lucky" by Kylie Minogue. The version on the CD even sounds identical to the Kylie Minogue song for a few seconds or so.

I hope that this finally answers at least some peoples questions about the song, now if only the full film version was released.

It does exist, somewhere. But where? In the vaults of the composer(s), perhaps? At least we know it's title now.

Fantastic work!

I have checked this out on the following link:

The song you are talking about is entitled fully "Miles Goodman - C'est Vrai - Soap Queen (Unused)" but yes, it's just the "C'est Vrai" bit that is it! As you say, a rip-off of I Should Be So Lucky, but unfortunately, it still sounds very little like the version used in the actual movie. Close...but not quite close enough. The percussion-y bit at the beginning is very similar. However, it would be fair to assume that the song in the movie derives from this song, so top work indeed; and like you say, at least we know the name.
