What a great premise. It is sheer comedy brilliance. Martin is at the top of his form, and Caine ain't no slouch, neither. More people should know about this little gem.

Agreed completely. It's one of the best comedies i've ever seen. They just don't make them like that anymore. It deserves to be more widely known.

This is one of the greatest comedies every created. easily.
intelligent humor, dumb humor, wit and banter, cynicism, even a little bit of slapstick. This movie has it all, unlike most comedies today that are written around crappy jokes.
This movie on the other hand, is written with a great plot first, and the jokes come from the funniness of the situations that happen in the plot. That's great writing!

shareI agree.......even though it's a remake. It is so well done and all the actors are superb in their rolls. It is one of those films that doesn't tire through the years. (Inspite of the fashions of the times.) Also, my husband loves 'Midnight Run' and agrees with the previous poster 600%!
