Do you ever wish that life was as simple?

Hi.

Do you ever wish that real life was as simple as an action movie, like Die Hard or otherwise, where you can be a hero like John MacClane and kill plenty of bad guys and live happily ever after.

Regret to say, for MANY reasons that are both simple and complex, real life just does NOT work that way, and not just in a sense that usually in life, it is impossible to take on armed guys who have weapons and intent to kill you and survive, and plenty of innocent people end up dying in real life in such case scenarios.

Not to mention also - in real life, even though there is plenty of evil (people) out there no doubt who get away with inflicting harm on innocents, and there are good people out there in the world too, the distinctions between good and evil can sometimes be blurred and at times, good people can do bad and bad people can do good and vice versa, in many cases, innocents end up suffering and dying EVEN WITH there being good intentions and attempts to punish the bad people, mistakes often happen and confusions are possible, but there are plenty of other reasons as well.

And in certain deeds, one's that don't involve murder but things to be considered just as bad at least, even with there being recognition of some deeds as wrong and evil, in discussions, people can't help but bring up various sub-groups ala feminism, political parties whether liberal or conservative or right and left wing, the fact that society and cultures are indifferent or worse indulge in victim blaming (and nothing CAN be done about it apparently besides recognizing it exists), law's ineffectiveness (and yet revenge is frowned upon although others say its good AND necessary) and other stuff that makes one ashamed of even being human, but also question if distinctions like in action movies such as good and bad really ARE that simple or if there are various complications and complexities. (And how such online discussions by the way also end up in conflicts, flame wars and talks on the order of "This and that is an insult to victims of that etc" that often prove not only how humans are imperfect but how there will always be conflicts and how apparently death or even murder isn't even always the worst thing in the world out there - in reality that is.)

(And we don't even mention the fact that in movies it is all FICTION whereas in real life those bad deeds happen for REAL - but that's just stating the obvious now, isn't it?)

But do you ever wish that real life was that simple or at least along the lines of action movies like this, where good and evil is not only universally agreed upon but easy enough to triumph against without there being any further side effects and negative consequences beyond cases of course where bad people simply kill you?

What do you think, thanks.

The greatest trick the Devil has ever pulled was convincing the world he didn't exist!
