The Only Decent Band in the Movie and Why

I've seen this movie several times and I've toured with many bands as a tech and crew member. The only decent bands was Seduce. One reason why perhaps was because they weren't a Sunset Strip hair band. They were from Detroit and were actually very popular.

Why kids put everything on the line and attempt to be "discovered" is beyond stupid. They usually end up signing whatever record deal an A&R guy shoves in front of them, they end up property of the record label and they remain in debt for the rest of their lives.

If you're in a band and you want to get rich, play in a bar or pub, keep your day job, play the music you want to play (and not what the label wants you to play), have fun and play the lottery every week because you have a better chance of winning the lottery and striking it rich than you do trying to be the next "big thing."
