Anyone at all like this movie?

I haven't seen it since the 80's, I do have the poster for it though.

I found the Japanese VHS on eBay just last month and just got through watching it and I thought it was a decent slasher. Some nice visuals and the twist ending was slightly unexpected. 6/10 from me.

Yes. I liked the aimable goofball lead character, who constantly wakes up in feverish surprise. He even wakes up, twice, from a dream within a dream at one (two) point(s)! All the characters were fairly engaging, and they all seemed to have a hidden agenda. The atmosphere had a nice, somewhat decadent, 80s vibe. It's a bit silly, unexpectedly gruesome at points and in the end the movie tricks you one final time... good enough!

Meh. It had a ton of potential, but it tried way too hard to be a psychological thriller instead of a slasher movie, and I found that kinda disappointing. The acting isn't too bad though surprisingly enough, and worse acting would've completely sunk the film. So 4.5/10. Maybe a 5 on a good day.

It's not the greatest movie ever. It certainly was enjoyable
