This was an alright Sequel!!!
I watched it last night thinking.. was it the best or the worst. I dont think any of the dirty harry movies are that bad... Magnum Force was certainly a kick ass sequel!!!!

Magnum Force is a great sequel.
This one is just fun to watch. It is goofy and a flop compared to the other DH films but some parts are satisfying.

I actually enjoyed this one. The only one in my mind that is not very good is The Enforcer, but only because i was pissed off that Harry's character theme was not in it. Why did they not have the original composer for that one?
shareI think Lalo Schifrin was too busy at the time or something, but I thought Jerry Fielding produced a really good score that was still pretty reminiscent of Schifrin's work. Fielding also did some fantastic scores for Eastwood's The Outlaw Josey Wales, The Gauntlet, and Escape from Alcatraz.
shareI think the plot to the The Dead Pool is a decent idea for a cop thriller. Unfortunately, it's just bogged down by a weak script and the whole movie comes across as a parody of at times. For example, the beggining where Harry pops out of a crashed car and starts shooting some guys just seemed utterly unreal and dated for me. It was definately a step back from the mood of Sudden Impact.
Great idea, poor execution.
