The real David

I went to junior high school in Anaheim, CA with the real David Rothenberg. After the T.V. movie aired, it all went to his head and became a jerk. He met his favorite basketball player (Michael Jordan) and I believe a few actors. He turned his 15 minutes of fame into a freak show. The school was Sycamore Junior High.

Did he look scary?

After what he went through, he has the right to be a jerk. Most of us go through life not dealing with a tenth of the pain he has experienced and are still jerks.

No TV and no beer make Homer something--something!!
Go Crazy?
Don't mind if I do!!!

Wow. Did you know most arrogant people are deep down insecure? He had every reason to be whoever he wanted to be & I really can not believe the op nor the 'was he scary looking' bs here.

Let us see how you would do so much better having lived through such an ordeal as I am sure Dave Dave would trade all that pain, betrayal, surgeries, pointing, judging and heart break. Though I am positive that very few, if any would have survived let alone thrived as Dave Dave has.

He has suffered more than enough. Perhaps his arrogance is/was rather a coping mechanism. A phase? Really though move on and cease triffling.

Think about it from his point of view. Not only was he in chronic physical pain, he was in chronic emotional pain too. Not only did he have to face the fact that someone tried to kill him, but he had to face the fact that this person was his own father. Most people his age have to worry about fitting in AND not being a target for bullying. His biggest worry was worrying that his dad was going to come back to finish him and his mom off.

I believe this 15 minutes of fame was his escape from all that.

I'm so scared your little head will come off in my hands!
