I've been looking for a movie for ages now and I can't seem to remember which one it is. I asked my older sister and she thinks it's Dance 'til Dawn, but I can't verify it because I can't seem to find a copy.

So I was wondering if somebody who saw this could tell me, is there a scene in this movie where it turns out that the geeky/protected girl's father was a real badass in school who streaked once? And that one of the cool guys' father was actually a geek in highschool who got picked on by the badass dad?

That seems to be the only thing I remember so I'm hoping this is it so I can finally stop wondering!

Yes, this is the film. Kelsey Grammer played Tracey Gold's over protective father and TRacey Gold is Dull Stroll. Alan Thicke plays the "cool" dad to a geek. It's revealed in the final scene that in high school, Kelsey's character was a wild kid who streaked a girls' gym class and knocked up his now-wife while Alan's character was a total geek who took his aunt to prom and tried to pass her off as a cocktail waitress.
