the last song
does anyone know what (oldies-sounding) song plays towards the end where everyone's coming together at the diner? I've looked everywhere, even the credits, but can't come across it.

shareIf you're talking about the song that plays under the dialogue (no real lyrics, just a kind of doowop melody), it was composed specifically for this film by Dick Rudolph, the film's music supervisor. It was just part of the score.
shareThe song is Goodnight Sweetheart Goodnight by The Spaniels
shareThis song was not written by Dick Rudolph (music supervisor on the project). It was written by Rick Bell & Frank LaRosa for Acrobat Productions (Michael Sembello) We also wrote a lot of the score and many other songs in the movie.
Rick Bell
Where can I find this song? It's amazing. It's been on my mind for years.
shareI wish I knew! The tapes are long buried in a box somewhere.
Rick
Helpful. Lol. Guess that's the song that's gonna elude me for life. Thanks though.
sharewho's this Rick Bell person. He makes no mention of the song, Rock until you drop which appeared in 2 movies in the 80s.
shareRock Til You Drop was written by Michael Sembello, his brother Danny and Dick Rudolph. I am married to Frank LaRosa who also wrote music that was featured in the movie...worked with Danny and Rick Bell.
Not sure where to get the soundtrack these days.
:-)

Hey Rick, why not get together with La-La Land Records and see if they would put out a complete soundtrack to the film? I know myself and many others would love to have a full song and score release.
