Filmed on 35mm with Panaflex cameras?

I just looked at the technical specs of this movie and noticed imdb lists Panaflex cameras and 35mm as the source print of this movie. If that is true, there could be a HD or 4K release of this movie someday. Possibly even widescreen depending on how they filmed it. That would be something to see.

on youtube it's a square box. widescreen hd would be a trip to see those 80s mall scenes.
