What kind of a food is a couga?

My local church did this play last year, and I went to see it. I need help on one thing if someone Jewish can help me. The scean in the movie where Bubby shows sam this food called Couga, and she tells him that its a couga from heaven. So I was wondering what kind of a food a couga is. In the play I saw, they use chocolate pudding cups for the couga

I think you mean a kugel, which is a side dish or dessert, traditionally made from egg noodles. You get a lot of hits if you google it.

Tell me more

Are the egg noodle covered in chocolate?

reply

Not necessarily. The variety of kugel is endless. It can be sweet as well as savoury.

Another word for it might be a noodle pudding, can be a potato pudding, or matzo pudding for Passover..it is made noodles, potatos, matzoh meal, or vegetables, mixed with eggs and other ingredients and baked in a casserole dish..it is quite delicious.

I think that might be "kugel", which is a type of dessert, usually made with apples or other fruit.

It's a kugel, and as others below have described, it can be savory or sweet.
It can also be called a noodle pudding which is probably how your local production of it came up with chocolate pudding. It is more of a casserole (noodles are baked in a casserole dish and cut into squares). I am cracking up that in this day and age, the folks who produced the show could not find a proper definition of the word 'kugel' -- it boggles the mind.
