Sylvia Miles in 'Midnight Cowboy'

Maybe other people realize this, but I just discovered it and haven't seen it mentioned here: Sylvia Miles, the actress who played the matchmaker in "Crossing Delancey," played the rich woman who abused Jon Voight's character in "Midnight Cowboy" almost 20 years earlier. Just as disgusting but in a totally different way. Wow.

Oh my goodness. I didn't recognize her. Great actress though.

She also played the real estate broker in Wall Street. She’s the essence of NYC, especially the city back in its grittier days.
