A real romantic comedy

I don't know what it is, but the commercial film industry in New York seems to crank out the best light romance films.

There's something about the shot setups, the casting, the writing, just the magnificent blend of artistry that New York and the Jewish film making community bring to the screen.

When I think of all the stuff I worked on way back in the 90s, it's like there's a different "taste" or "flavor" that San Francisco brings that is akin to New York and its features like "Crossing Delancey".

Both have a nice intimacy that you can get comfortable with as you watch the film.

There's a thankful lack of SFX shots, a thankful lack of gunplay (usually), characters you don't mind liking, or would like to like, or at least understand and perhaps sympathize with.

Why, just why don't they make films like this anymore ... oh well.
