The Belated Discovery of Captain Obvious

Although I've watched the Critters movies countless times, something just dawned on me about the bounty hunters. Ug and Lee. Ug, Lee. Ug-Lee.

Better late than never, I guess.

Huey & Lewis? Yeah, sometimes they don't try very hard to conceal these things, lol. The worst (or best?) is the movie "Death Machine" from 1994, where characters are named Sam Raimi, John Carpenter, Scott Ridley, Weyland, Yutani, etc.

I'll write a script some day, including the lawyer firm "Arnold, Schwarz & Negger".

Aaaand now I want to watch that movie!

Huey & Lewis is indeed a really unsubtle homage, especially considering the line "Huey, Lewis, any news?" (or something to that effect), but I was actually referring to something more similar. In fact, something that's exactly the same:

The heroes of the movie are Jimmy and Billy Lee. A mildly clever bad guy refers to them as "Ug" and "Home", prompting another, more stupid bad guy to think real hard for a few moments before cracking up and saying he gets it -- it's beyond terrible. I believe the titular characters themselves briefly go over who exactly is the ugly and who is the homely.
