Dan Ackroyd

This movie is a perfect vehicle to showcase Ackroyd's talents. This flick ad another movie called Loose Cannons (with a very funny Gene Hackman) are perfect rolls to show Ackroyd's brilliance. I always thought it was a shame that neither movie got much critical acclaim.

Loose Cannons!!!! Thank you! I was trying to remember the name of that one!

Yeah I agree. In this movie, along with Loose Cannons, both showcase Dan's talents for sure, he's so hilarious in both films. Very underrated film with the perfect cast.

I use to really object to anything with Ackroyd in it, perhaps rebellion to his being crammed down movie goers throats for awhile. Not just him, but Short, Chase and similar elk comics. I am finding that they are much more tolerable now when I watch them on the retro channel. Maybe it has something to do with nothing is at stake any longer. I am quite enjoying these older comedies.

Are you talking about This TV?
They showed The Couch Trip tonight. I had never heard of it. This TV shows a lot of movies I'd never heard of. Loose Cannons sounds interesting.

I was reading about Nothing But Trouble a couple months ago. Seems some people really hate it, but it sounds interesting.

He is pretty funny in this.

I think he's great in both these movies. So funny and natural no matter what the scene.
