I assume it's referencing a person being on a couch for their psychologist, and, of course, his trip to do the radio show. Does "The Couch Trip" as a title really make sense? Is this a phrase I'm not familiar with? If it's said in the movie I missed it.
It sounds like it's a drug movie. Since it's not a very popular movie, their doesn't seem to be much trivia type stuff for it online.
i haven't heard that phrase either, and as a non english speaking person i confuse the spelling of couch with word like coach. notice aykroyds "joliet" reference. the back of the dvd i got of this lists chase as one of the main cast, when you actually can miss him if you look away a while.
