Only thing I slightly dislike about this film

Is the ending how they went from her turning him down straight to the wedding with no real explanation shown as to how that all came about. It was as if they were running out of time and had to wrap the movie up. Doesn't take anything away from it being one of the greatest comedies of all time though. Just wish they'd done more with that. Thoughts?

Not at all. We've all seen this movie dozens of times but the first time we see it we're supposed to believe Lisa turned him down, Akeem returned home, and was going to marry Amani.

I supposed that off screen time is meant to be her time to think things over while Akeem does what he does so that it all comes together in the end. not a bad way to end it.
