Naked lady? Why?

Yeah what man doesn't remember that scene, young or old. When the movie came out on April 29, 1988 I was only five years old and so there was no way my mom would take me to see the film, an R-rated one at that.

Anyways, I saw the film on DVD over and over and on pay cable channels and that scene with that naked chick was a trip.

She was but-ass naked and she had a nice figure I might add. But there was no reason for her to be that butt naked. Knowing how by the book Sheriff's are, you would have thought they would have told her to put on some clothes.

And the fact that she was only a gang chick/street gang groupie and not a hardened criminal, you would have thought they would have taken their time with her enough to make her put on some clothes.

Now I could see if a guy was butt naked and one of the hardened criminals they were looking for, then most cops wouldn't have even let him get his clothes on. They just wanted their capture or the arrest.

Today that naked chick would have been another exercise in gratuitous nudity which is big in films these days. But in 1988 you would have thought she would have been covered up.

But oh well, that is one of the more memorable images of that film for me in what was an excellent film.

She was naked for us guys. Deal with it.

My best friends dad used to deal drugs when she was young, he stopped when she was about 7. She remembers the police raiding her home in the middle of the night while the family was sleeping, she said it was humiliating because while their home was being searched they were all seated on the sofa, her mother slept in her underwear and they wouldn't even let her get dressed, she had to sit there in front of her kids and strange men while practically naked for God knows how long.

I recently saw this movie and I was thinking the same thing about the scene with the naked lady. I think in reality that the police would have allowed her to put something on, if only a towel or sheet. But totally naked, with all the men gawking at her?? That would not fly today and I bet it wouldn't have in 1988 either.

The good ol' days when chics had bush.
