Ending was an obvious reshoot

You can tell when characters look distinctly older. And Tom does. His hair goes from shortish to longish with the scene where he runs past the doorman and into the apartment to talk to Jordan (you notice that they also prefaced this scene with an earlier doorman scene, where he also has noticeably longer hair).

The reading of the suicide note is also an added scene, as his hair is longer.

I have to wonder, how bad was the original cut that they said "we need a massive reshoot for this ending"

With that said, the suicide note reading is arguably Tom's best acting.

It's a shame that there is a weird fist-fight with a door man who knocks over some absurd artwork. But they wanted a dramatic scene so the father can say "you're on your own"

I personally think they should have reshot the penultimate scene where Tom and her are dancing as he looks quite young again with shorter hair.

Anyone know about the original cut?

I noticed a lot of cut scenes in the trailer which is on Youtube.

When there's no more room in Hollywood, remakes shall walk the Earth.
