I don't think I ever will be able to watch this movie knowing one of the actors were molested... Disturbing! D:

I used to love this movie before I knew what happened. My best friend and I used to quote it all the time, and make fun of it.

Since then I just can't get through it, poor Casey :(

I personally could care less. It happened over 25 years ago and I know how to separate the art from the creator. He hasn't done it since (or hasn't been caught), either way, it has no effect on my life. Good little film.

Usually I'm able to, but this is not like Polanski where he committed the atrocities outside of the film world. No, one of the boys were molested with the production of this movie, and even was forced to stay because of Francis Ford Coppola (who's an awful human being too).

There are very few movies I can safely say it's impossible for me to even consider watching in any future... but this is one of them.

As I do, but the problem with that one is that it happened while that film was made and not outside of his professional live.

It's certainly gross, but the honest truth is that the circumstances behind the production and the film's resulting scarce availability have created a kind of mystique about it that undermines the fact that it's just not that great of a movie. I personally found it to be somewhat redundant and overrated.

This film has a bit of a cult following. I've never seen it and don't think I ever want to given Salva abused one of the child actors in this.
