Any ideas why this board is (was) empty?
This is a pretty good movie, with a great cast, which I just finished watching. One would have thought it would draw lots of comments.
Well, so it goes, I suppose.

It's because it wasn't that good, really. In fact, it was so bad I can't even remember how the actual drug plot was resolved, or if it was resolved at all. All I remember is the over-the-top ending with the piano. And I watched the film yesterday! What's intriguing is that Jerry Schatzberg who made such a good films as Scarecrow and Panic in Needle Park, or even the previous Street Smart, has degraded to shooting bad scripts like this one.
But Ellen Barkin was good, as well as the dog!

Bought the movie last night while shopping, because I thought it could be interesting to see the three at the start of their careers. But oh boy that was a big mistake. Paper thin plot and insecure acting from the two gentlemen. Ellen did an ok job though. Now I just wish I can sell it to some Garcia or Freeman fan, who still thinks it's a good movie and can't find it anywhere ! A solid 3/10 from me.
