Out on DVD?

i'm so happy i found someone who really loved this movie as much as i do. i did inquire at blockbuster and amazon.com with no luck regarding the dvd. i'll keep searching. i certainly feel the same way you do about whoopi and neil patrick harris and i loved the scenery in port antonio, jamaica, where david's parents went on "their" vacation. i found the part when david was getting his hair cut very funny. his imitations of jamaican accents were hilarious. i am really surprised this movie did not do so well. i do watch it frequently. i feel very sad about spalding grey - his acting was also very good in clara's heart. well, let's just keep hoping a dvd will soon be available.

This was just on HBO today and I wasn't going to watch it because I was going to rent it from NetFlix instead, but I ran into the same problem that you did as well; it's just NOT on DVD. So, I chose to watch it, and I'm really happy that I did, because it's really a good movie and I don't know why it has better ratings on the IMDB scale, but that's the way things go I guess.

I've really just started watching it and it seems pretty darned good so far, so I think I made the right choice to watch it.

This was a beautiful movie.......I LOVE IT!! Maybe if we all wrote to Warner Brothers and asked for a DVD version, well I mean if several of us did it.....maybe they would see the interest.
Is there anyway to transfer from VHS format to DVD?
I haven't been able to catch this on tv in awhile but I like the other person, watch it everytime it does come on.

Yeah, apparently it's not out on DVD; I went on a mad hunt for it a few days ago. I have it on VHS from when it came on TV sometime AGES ago and I agree with the rest of you: it truly is an amazing movie. There are just so many levels to it, so much emotion, so many different dynamics, and that unusual friendship between a Jamaican housekeeper and her young, white charge becomes very touching due to Goldberg's and Harris' amazing performances. This is one of those movies I can just watch over and over again without ever getting bored. It seems that each time I see it some new aspect jumps out at me. I'm glad I'm not the only one who's hooked. :)

Clara's Heart is my all-time favorite movie, and the movie that got me hooked on Whoopi Goldberg. I can't wait for this movie to be released on DVD! I don't understand how a movie like Telephone (which even SHE admitted was one of her least favorites), got released on DVD before Clara's Heart. In my opinion Clara's Heart is a CLASSIC and should be on both DVD and blue-ray disc. If anyone has the address of where to write to request movies to be released on DVD, please let us know.
