Read the book, was the movie any good?

It's been a while since I've seen it, but from what I remember, it was a good movie.

They did, however, butcher the ending.

it was a good movie but very hollywood especially the ending. ending was changed to a happy ending rather than the downer that the book ended in.

I actually do like the movie, lol you can read my previous post from years ago blabbing about how I loved the casting and the directing. There are some changes that would bother you if you are book purist, but overall if you just watch the movie for what it is and watch it for its take on the story, it is quite good.
