If chucky puts his soul into a human body, what would happen to the human? Would his soul be put in the dolls body?
shareI don't think so...I think their soul would be kicked out into the void. OR, perhaps they would have to share the body and the other sould would still be in there?
Or maybe you are right and their souls would trade spots.
In the movie All of Me the souls share the body. :)

Chucky implied in CP2 that Andy would die when he took his body.
But then in the commentary for 'Bride', Don Mancini said there was an unfilmed scene where Chucky succeeded in taking Jesse's body, and Jesse ended up in the doll.
So I guess it's up to the viewer to decide.

@Daughterofolaf, watch Curse of Chucky. *SPOILER* The soul trade is completed for the first time ever in the series but we never really get to see what happens. The camera just pans away as Chucky recites his spell. I imagine the souls would just swap bodies. He does state though to the willing participant when asked about why he's doing it: "because nobody would suspect a thing." A truly chilling moment of the film even if the following material is quite bizarre and almost illogical.

Except we don't know if Jennifer would have woken up inside the doll, because she took an axe to the head seconds after Tiffany did the spell. When she was doing the chant, she said the word 'Switch'.
