So if the doll becomes human, Chucky can't transfer?

Where's the logic in that?

Wasn't his body fully 'human' already, BEFORE he actually 'transferred'?

So, obviously him being in a 'fully human' body, does not prevent a transfer. What difference does it make if his body resembles a doll, as far as the transfer is concerned?

Why would he not be able to transfer from a 'fully human' body to another human, but he could easily transfer from a 'fully human' body to a doll?

As a sidenote; what force, how and why, would be able to make the _ENORMOUS_ leap from a plastic, superficial, easily-manufactured synthetic mass of simple parts (plus a voice box), to a fully functional human being, with veins, eyes, cells, bone structure, muscles, chakras, energies, acu points, sensitive skin, internal organs, digestive system, fingerprints, brain (I suppose some souls don't need a brain to operate a doll - what's the point of the transformation anyway?) -- and .. a newly-grown penis? How is the penis size and all that decided?

Just how exactly does some plastic/glass eye turn into an organic one? Does the glass just melt away, vanish or something? Why can Chucky use two different voices? If Chucky possessed Andy's body, what would happen to Andy's soul? And would he still have the 'magical ability' to use two voices instead of one, with only one vocal cord? How does that work, exactly? Does Chucky painstakingly form another vocal cord in the astral/etheric plane and make sure it remains constantly functional and then send energy through it to mimic the way air flows through the actual vocal cords? How could he be able to ALTER an already-recorded sound sample/tape?

Even with modern computers, you can't just create believable voices even if you have lots of sound samples, without a huge amount of work, if even then (just listen to 'vocaloids' and modern speech synthesis, and hear how fake and robotic it sounds - and this guy was in the eighties -without- modern computers at his disposal!). So how does THAT work? Does he telepathically remote view the original's voice enough to get enough samples to alter the tape with his magical powers and super-conscious knowledge as to what the magnetic field should look like to produce the exact result? THE IMPATIENT CHUCKY FROM THIS MOVIE?!

Obviously Chucky doesn't NEED organs to breathe or produce voices, heart to pump blood in the doll, muscles to move, or brains to think. So what's the point of the whole transformation? The sense of pain?

This movie makes no sense.

Also, why wasn't the 'teacher-voodoo-priest' prepared for Chucky? I mean, he must have known that he was evil (how did he find out about his deeds anyway), so he must have known what he would do. Plus, it should be pretty obvious that if you can transfer souls between bodies (that don't even have to be HUMAN bodies!), you probably have some developed lower level, easier spiritual abilities open, like 'clairvoyance', 'remote viewing', 'telepathy' and so on.

How can the voodoo-priest be so clueless that Chucky has made a voodoo doll of himself, and not foresee that it would happen?

It's like someone who knows how to build and operate beamships that can travel between planets and move like UFOs in the atmosphere, but can't drive a car. It doesn't make any sense.

I hate movies where premises are just introduced, but nothing is explained properly. Say what you want about 'The Matrix', or its premise (and I have said a lot), but at least things were pretty well explained, despite the plot holes and flaws.

When a movie makes 'whatever that the script requires at that given moment' happen without a consistent, internally coherent and sensible explanation, it destroys the immersion and makes it hard to suspend disbelief. It feels like some smart-árse-writer is screwing with the viewer, instead of feeling like a fantastic and intriquing story is being told in an immersive way, inviting the viewer to be part of it.

Then again, this is just a superficial, silly slasher from the worst dumps of the eighties, so what can one expect..?
