what would happen if Chucky possessed Andy? what would happen to Andy?

reply

1 of 3 things:

1) Chucky and Andy swap bodies, with Andy ending up in the doll.
2) Andy's soul dies and goes to Heaven (as implied in CP2)
or
3) Chucky and Andy end up sharing a body, with Andy's mind stuck in the subconscious and unable to do anything but watch Chucky cause mayhem.

Personally I'd like to see 3 and have a battle of the minds in a surreal landscape for control over Andy's body.

"Can we try the chaos thing?"

what would Andy do in the doll and your saying Andy will die if he steals his soul?

reply

in the second film its somewhat hinted that Andy's soul would go to heaven, while Chucky's soul goes into Andy's body.

only Chucky is saying the chant, which is how it worked in the film, in that he is placing his soul into somebody/something. Andy just lays there while the transfer is being done, so i dont think he has a choice of going into the doll, he simply dies/goes to heaven.

In the commentary for Bride, Don Mancini said he wanted to film a scene where Chucky completes the transfer, and Jesse ends up inside the doll's body. But they didn't have time to film the sequence, so it was left out of the film.

So basically it's up to Don Mancini whether Andy would live or die if the transfer actually went all the way through.

yea but by Bride it all became self referential parody, with having 'voodoo for dummies', having circles on the floor, body swapping, etc. whereas the first film and its two sequels were playing it straight & simple.

Chucky would have killed till he became an adult and became the copycat lakeshore strangler.

Agreed, if he did possess Andy, he would've killed again like he did when he was in his own body. He probably would've been even worse.

Definitely. Especially since he's now in a child's body he could get away with so much more. When he becomes an adult he'll have to probably kill less and be much more careful.

I disagree with the word usage of a "copy cat" especially since he himself is the lakeshore strangler so he can't become a copycat of the Lakeshore strangler. However, if he was caught after committing the same style of murders then he'd be labeled a copycat killer, if thats what you meant (not you but the other guy before you).

Andy would've become another Bad Seed.
