Number one is still the best

The first film still scares me at times today. It will never go out of style. The second and third films were ok but 4 and 5 sucked. The new film Curse of Chucky was a real improvement

I completely agree. Except I didn't hate Bride of Chicky but I loathed Seed of Chucky.

Yeah, I think Tom Holland's influence really helped turn the first one into something special. Some of the sequels were pretty good too, but the original is the one I always come back to.

Heh, I thought the opposite. This really shouldn't have had a sequel at all because there's no more of the story to tell; the first movie had the suspenseful buildup, told us everything we needed to know, then had the big confrontation in the last reel. But they pretty clearly couldn't think of anything else to add, so...they don't. 2 and 3 have zero surprises or interest; they just repeat that last reel several times and call it a day.

Leaning toward comedy to keep horror movie sequels cranking out is usually disastrous but for some reason it worked this time...better than the alleged serious attempts anyway.

yes just watched #1 again, and it was still good, and about to watch #2.
The 1st one was made on 9 mil budget, so pretty good for that amount.

terminator cost 6 mil, and now today they spend 150 mil and the movie is crap
usually.
