If there is a subway under the church (which there is, hence the death with some of the worst gore spx ever filmed)then how come the demons are still under the church and the villagers grave is still there? Wouldn't that have been tunnelled away when they built the subway?

Not necessarily. The church is big and who knows how far that tunnel took them away from the boundaries of the church.

Lol I don't think there was a subway down there.. It was a hallucination! just like girl who stuck her face in the font of water and got the fish in her face, or the lady who thought she looked old and started to scratch her face off. However, its funny how some of the things take form even though they aren't real.
