DOES ANYONE KNOW????

I HAD AN OLD VHS TAPE OMY GRANDMOTHER'S BOYFRIEND OF RECORDED TV FROM YEARS AGO,I THINK IT WAS STUFF OFF SHOWTIME LIKE SUPER DAVE, MOVIES AND CBS SPECIALS.THERE WAS THIS SPECIAL ON ONE OF THE NEWS PROGRAMS BACK THEN CAN'T REMEMBER THE NAME I BELIEVE IT WAS ON CBS BUT THE TOPIC THEY COVERED ON ONE OF THE SEGMENTS WAS ABOUT TOO MUCH VIOLENCE ON TV AND IT SHOWED THIS SCENE FROM A MOVIE WHERE THE CLAW FROM SOME KIND OF MONSTER SWIPED INTO THE HEAD OF SOMEBODY AND COMPLETELY TORE IT OFF AND IT WENT UPWARDS AND HIT INTO A WALL.REVIEWERS ARE MENTIONING ABOUT A DECAPITATION SCENE IN THE MOVIE SO I WAS WONDERING IF A SHOT LIKE I MENTIONED ABOVE WAS IN THE MOVIE.THIS TAPE WAS TV
RECORDED BACK IN 89 OR 90 AND THE MOVIE CAME OUT IN 88 ACCORDING TO THE WEBSITE SO IT COULD HAVE BEEN FEATURED IN THAT NEWS SHOW SPECIAL AS A CLIP
INTO THE TOPIC OF VIOLENCE THEY WERE DISCUSSING.ANY FEEDBACK OR KNOWLEDGE WOULD BE APPRECIATED.

It's kind of hard reading your post with all the unneccesary caps, but I remember something like you are talking about. The only thing is I remember the monster eating the head. I don't remember it hitting the wall. I haven't seen Cellar Dweller since I was a little girl, and I can't remember if it's the movie with that scene or not.

Hopefully by then your Cap button will be unstuck. :)

I've already dealt with other people complaining about my messages in all caps.I realize now from other posters that it does matter when you have all the letters on caps lock.Apparently it blurs everything together and makes it hard to read.I've already tooken care of that one. Thanks for the notice!!

I appreciate any help i get but it's definitely not from that movie. The scene I was talking about was shown inside not during the nighttime and outside like the tales from the darkside sequence.Unless it was an alternate version of that sequence you're talking about, the clip i seen had the guy getting his head decapitated and the head bouncing when it hit the wall. There was no wall I believe in the Tales from the darkside scene unless it happened in an alley but I don't remember either things very well since it's been years since i've seen both subjects. If I had the tape of the news special with me I could pop it in now and know for sure so I must be kind of sketchy about things but something happened to the tape I may have lost it.

"Cameron's Closet" perhaps....

"You have no idea how much I hate you"

When I read this, I instantly thought of "The Company of Wolves..." but it's a wolf's head that bounces off the wall (which becomes a human head when it falls). Unfortunately, decapitation seems be a horror movie standard. Seems like there's also decapitations in "The Beast Within" and one of "The Howling" sequels (part 3, maybe?) and perhaps in "An American Werewolf in London" (somebody stole my DVD of "London" or I'd check). If it was a big, hairy, clawed monster, my best guess is that it was a werewolf flick.

YES!

Cellar Dweller has one of the coolest on-screen decapitations ever. The monster does indeed SWIPE Vince Edward's head ripping it bloodily off of his shoulders. The head flies through the air and slams into a wall. great effect!

Yes!Finally got ahold of somebody that knows for sure that it was Cellar Dwellar! That taped violence special was shown around the time this first came out and probably yanked that clip right from the movie since it was quite a graphic, violent moment. The other movies previous postes mentioned i've seen all of them and never seen that moment the way it was shown in Cellar Dwellar in any of theose other movies.I knew that for sure and now I have another post to back my guess up!!Thank You!!!

I think the special was on 20/20 if I'm not mistaken. I would love to see that again.

"Man will never be free until the last king is strangled with the entrails of the last priest."

You remember great stuff that goes back that far too!Ah,love at fist sight. The way things are in my grown up life these days and the world for all that matter, one thing that keeps me from a trip to the looney bin myself is attaching my mind to incidents from my past growning up with my family all the time, and yes, when tv had charachter and was'nt an avenue fro trendy real life bullcrap.I've got my mind do attched to the past that I hardly ever think about my life as I'm currently living it only when i'm being responsible about something or have to get something done do I apply myself, otherwise in my free time my mind has a one-way ticket reserved for the past.
