Not worth it

I had to watch this yesterday in film studies. I *think* we were looking at it in terms of Freud and psychoanalysis and oedipus and all that, but I'm not completely sure. All I know is that I would go out of my way to never have to watch this film again. It's just boring. It's just like Kez, only with rabbits. And I don't like Kez.

I also saw it in film studies yesterday...

What a coincidence.

reply

Tell us more about 'Kez' - I can't see an entry for it on IMDB. Could you possibly be referring to 'Kes'?

I suppose on a clear day you can see the class struggle from here.

reply

Definitely worth it. I don't understand what the hell are these people doing in "film studies" if they cannot appreciate a good film.

reply

I *think* the problem is that you try and see the film within a specific frame of reference. It's hard to take a film studies student seriously who cannot recall the name of the film Kes correctly. Even less can I take you seriously that both film bore you.

Keep silent unless what you are going to say is more important than silence.

Its really boring and depressing.

reply

A beautiful almost poetic piece of 1950's based Australiana. I loved each and every minute. An absolute must see.

reply

Yes, working-class children are boring and depressing.
