damn this movie

okay i thought this movie was good. and definitely worht taking a look at. however, as much as i love victoria jackson and like lea thompson. this movie should have been burned the day it was completed.
why?
simple. andrew 'dice' clay. though it is a softer side of him, i hate this movie because it has him in it. this, i believe, was before he became famous, but could possibly be the reason he leaped to such stardom. he annoys the crap out of me.
yay, lea thompson and the marvelous victoria jackson, but dammit all to hell andrew 'dice' clay.

i thought the Diceman was funny...for awhile. I have had the occasion to use one of his jokes: "Is this the back of the line?" "No, it's the front and I'm standing backwards". Of course, any politically correct types would feel the instant obligation to hate him... But, he was a one-act band, and eventually that act becomes tiring. Wonder what he's doing now.

my tv just cut off and i missed the ending of thisxe movie and I haven't seen this since early 90's. If I remember correctly, Stacey marries Vinny at the end? If so you're right... this movie is HORRIBLE b/c of clay!

reply

yeah, stacey marries the Vin-man (played by the dice-man), and melissa gets engaged to the putz-y sweetheart from the spa.

over-rated, your opinion, fine. no career, uhm, i thought he was working for howard stern at sirus, and doing something for vh-1.

i'm not a big dice fan, but he's not as bad as some of you make him out to be, either you get him or you don't. his career might have dried up, but to say he 'now has no career' is just incorrect.

imho, he is part of what made casual sex a good movie, him and the hot chicks.

He is still working 12 years later. Was recently in A Star is Born.

Give Dice a break! he was great in this movie!

Surely Andrew Dice Clay gained fame during his oscar winning performance on Different Strokes???

reply

I'm not a big fan of A.D.C., but I think this role suited him.

reply

He was sweet and very good-looking in this movie (I mean his face, not his awful North Jersey Eye-talian clothes)
